These images were concept art for Halo, a very popular and successful science fiction franchise.
Both images greatly inspire me, as they are both my favourite sort of art. Futuristic citys, put on a sort of landscape, in a photography style. The tone of both images is very dark, more so in the latter than the former.
What I really like about these images is that vast amount of detail in his images. There is just so much detail that makes it very inspiring to me, to know how this is done and to learn how to do work like this.
